My lovely wife is a Crohn’s sufferer. This is a horrible disease for which there is no cure. If you don’t know what Crohn’s is let me just outline what Liz has to put up with. At least a dozen loo trips a day and not pleasant when there. Very restricted diet. Constant fatigue. Constant tummy ache. Living with the knowledge that she is far far more likely to contract bowel cancer than “normal” people. Living with the likelihood of a colostomy bag in the future. Planning every journey so as to know where the toilets are every mile. A list of drugs that would sink the Bismarck. Liz counts herself lucky… some people suffer worse problems.
