Your first appointment

During your first visit, we will conduct a thorough examination, which is essential for creating your personalized dental care plan. This appointment typically lasts about 30 minutes and costs £100. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know you better, answer any questions you may have, and understand your goals for your dental care. We’re committed to providing you with the best possible experience and ensuring that you feel comfortable throughout the process.

Before your appointment:

You will receive an email from us confirming the time and date of your appointment.  It will also include a link to a medical history questionnaire. You will be required to fill out your medical history which will be kept in our records for reference during your treatment. An understanding of your medical status helps us determine proper dental care and treatment.;

The following will be completed during the new patient examination:

Extra oral examination. Examination of your jaw joint and mouth opening will be examined and recorded.

Dental Charting. Your dentist will examine your teeth and make a note of any fillings that are present, any teeth that are missing, and any decayed teeth or areas that they want to keep an eye on throughout the course of your treatment/ visits.

Periodontal Exam. Successful dental treatment depends on healthy gums and identifying any signs of gum disease early on. We will examine the foundations of your teeth and gum tissue to determine your overall gum health.

Oral cancer screening. Examining the soft tissues of your mouth for any abnormal findings.

Digital X-rays. Radiographs are an important part of any dental examination to help diagnose any problems under the surface or around the foundations of the teeth. X-rays will be taken only if the dentist feels it is necessary at this stage.

Oral Health Education. Your dentist will review your current oral hygiene routine and provide recommendations for improvement to help you maintain your teeth. These suggestions will be monitored and updated during your hygiene maintenance visits to ensure continued optimal oral health.
